On other ships, you can game the system by inserting another card (credit card, membership card, driver's license), but, unfortunately, that trick doesn't work on MSC Seashore. However, there isn't a ton that differentiates Seashore from its smaller Seaside sister class. The main changes we noticed, in addition to the NYC theme, are the lack of top-deck ziplines, fewer waterslides and an expanded gaming and arcade area.

As noted above, booking and choosing your balcony cabin on the ship means that you're in Fantastica class which comes with perks beyond your room. Deluxe balcony cabins are the same size as regular balcony rooms -- between 172 to 183 square feet -- but what makes them better is their position on the ship on decks 9 to 15. While the cocktails onboard MSC Seashore mostly skewed toward disappointing (and sometimes undrinkable), we found the food to either be excellent or embarrassing. In the main dining room, we were served an unbelievably perfect filet of Chilean sea bass and devoured a sunchoke bisque that demanded seconds one night, only to be served bland and mushy lobster tail and what looked like days-old salad the next. That said, the main dining room was absolutely stellar at managing my celiac disease — a rare and invaluable find on any cruise, soggy lobster or not. Where MSC Cruises' accommodations are particularly impressive is in its ships' Yacht Clubs.
RESTAURANTS

Other notable watering holes include standard pool, casino and buffet bars, as well as the Shine Bar, which specializes in mixology, and the Wine and Champagne Bar, where you can snag some vino or bubbles. As mentioned, staterooms on an MSC Seashore cruise include more than 2,200 options, including more than 70 options for guests who require disability considerations. Other notable features include more than 13,000 square meters (or nearly 140,000 square feet) of outdoor space; the highest ratio of outdoor space per guest on any MSC Cruises ship; and the largest MSC Yacht Club on any MSC Cruises ship. In addition, take in MSC Seashore’s extensive art collection, which you’ll find located throughout the ship from landings and corridors to dedicated galleries. MSC Seashore pays tribute to New York City, a destination that represents the spirit of discovery and cultural experiences that is at the heart of the MSC Cruises guest experience.
Design and specifications

Two experiences on our MSC Seashore sailing ended up being shaky, really shaky. When the ship turned around to leave PortMiami, and again to leave Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, it felt like an earthquake on the ship. We’re talking things falling off shelves, dishes breaking, doors rattling, the works. It’s like nothing we’ve ever felt before on a ship, and could be quite jarring if you’re not expecting it (or sleeping).

Some rooms also come with pull-down beds or pullout sofas that sleep additional passengers. Dinners still take forever, but service throughout the ship has improved immensely, especially in the dining rooms. Suites are big, bold and modern, and range from interior suites with extra living space, to the owner’s suite with its large terrace with a balcony and outdoor dining area. However, if it’s ocean views, not floor space, that you’re after, go with the deluxe ocean view option. It’s the ideal place for enjoying a great informal Mediterranean dining experience with a spectacular sea view.

You'll hear multiple languages as you walk through the hallway, and signage is available in Spanish, English, German, French, Portuguese, and Italian. MSC Seashore and cruise line, MSC Cruises, might not be household names in all of the ports where the ship sails. Huge in Europe and other parts of the world, MSC Cruises is still gaining ground in North America and in Miami, where MSC Seashore is based. Dining and drinks
The Top 19 sundeck and solarium is just for passengers in the Aurea suites. The hot tub game on MSC Seashore is elevated, with two 20-seat infinity whirlpools situated on the side of the ship. These whirlpools are somewhat cut off from the rest of the ship so if you're looking to avoid crowds, try here.
MSC Seashore is a Seaside EVO-class cruise ship built for MSC Cruises at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. As of August 2021, she became the lead ship of MSC's Seaside EVO class, a sub-class of the Seaside-class of ships built with larger dimensions. She was joined by sister ship MSC Seascape, since delivery in November 2022. Cruise Critic is not a booking agent and does not charge any service fees to users of our site. When you book with one of our partners, please be sure to check their site for a full disclosure of all applicable fees as required by the U.S. Among the cruise liner's complimentary amenities are also the 24-hour room service and supervised youth program, shipwide WiFI Internet access, laundry service.
The Long Island Pool is what you'd consider the "main pool." There's a big screen out here for movies and to broadcast bingo, and this is also where deck parties, dance lessons and belly flop contests are held. MSC Seashore does have deck parties every night, each with a different theme. There's a White Party every cruise, so come prepared if you want to participate. Other themes could be Country Night, Flower Glory (which focused on the 70s, not the 60s) and Gatsby Night. The Madison Theater is the main venue and there's a show here almost every night.
There are no oceanview rooms in the Yacht Club; from interior, the room category jumps to Deluxe Suite, which has an 86-square-foot balcony. MSC prides itself on being a family cruise line, and evidence of that is all over MSC Seashore. The ship has the biggest-ever Doremi (pronounced Do-Re-Mi) club and the vast majority of cabins can handle three or four passengers, swelling the capacity of the ship up to 5,877. MSC often runs promotions that allow families to bring their children for free. With MSC Seashore, the line made the decision to have several pools around the ship, as opposed to one larger one. It works, at least on our sailing, as people did spread out around the ship, making the pool decks feel less crowded.
The Thermal Suite on MSC Seashore is one of the most comprehensive that we've seen at sea, with all kinds of interesting stations. There are chromotherapy shower circuits, multiple types of saunas, a huge hot tub, aromatherapy rain showers and arctic showers, Himalayan salt room, a snow room, a dark steam room and a light steam room and relaxation areas. Passes are included for Aurea and Yacht Club guests, and you can buy them by the day or week, either as an individual or a couple. Surrounded by plants and greens, the Jungle Pool seems like it would be a respite. It's right near the Doremi kids club, and a short walk from the buffet, however, so it's a natural draw for families.
Although the area is open to passing traffic, I found it a quiet place to work, read or meet up with friends for a chat. In addition to the breathtaking atrium spaces and outdoor areas for which the Seaside and Seaside EVO Classes are known, several locations on MSC Seashore require shoutouts, simply for being fantastic. Rooms are also designed so you can't turn the lights on without inserting your keycard into a slot by the door.
In addition, the innovative MSC for Me technology provides an enhanced onboard experience by using digital technology to connect guests, crew, and venues via interactive touchscreens around the ship, interactive stateroom TVs, and the MSC for Me app. One area where MSC's newest vessels do exceptionally well is all things spa and fitness. Also included in that space is a massive thermal suite with a staggering array of options like a salt room, saunas, heated tile loungers, a snow room and a sensory steam room. MSC Seashore is fitted with new technologies specifically designed to improve passengers' onboard digital experience. Interactive screens throughout the ship allow real-time booking (cruise and tours) and making reservations (dining, spa, beauty treatments). Beacon technology sends location-based, customized notifications to passengers' phones as they move around the ship.
